IN bringing about a country’s development in a sustainable and enduring manner, not only its natural resources, infrastructure and economic strength but also its human resources, which will shape the country’s future, are important. Among these human resources, young people, who possess strength and enthusiasm and can quickly learn and apply technology and knowledge, constitute themselves as an important, reliable force for the country’s development.

Young people are the next generation who will take responsibility for the country’s future administrative, economic, social, educational, healthcare, scientific and technological sectors. Therefore, the government is creating opportunities to effectively utilize young people’s education, skills, critical thinking and creativity in the country’s development efforts.

The present era is one in which technology and digital technologies are rapidly developing and transforming. Young people can not only skillfully utilize information and communication technologies but also participate in online learning, the digital economy, innovation, and technology-based businesses. If these capabilities can be effectively applied in line with the country’s needs, they can contribute a great deal to the country’s development.

Young people can contribute much to the country’s development not only through the economic sector but also by volunteering in social activities, environmental conservation, forest and water resource conservation, disaster preparedness, and disaster response and recovery efforts. Through such voluntary participation, they can make meaningful contributions to their local communities and society.

In addition, young people should strive to develop micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), social enterprises, and innovative ventures based on their education and vocational skills. To enhance the capabilities of young people, responsible officials from various sectors should organize seminars and discussions, while experts should share their knowledge and experiences. In this way, the younger generation will be able to acquire knowledge and skills more easily and in less time. Only then will they be able to create and achieve greater and better progress for future generations.

Just as the government is undertaking efforts in various sectors to ensure that young people develop in all five dimensions and to promote the youth sector, young people should also actively contribute to the country’s development by making the most of the opportunities available to them, continuously pursuing education and learning, studying and applying new technologies, striving to improve their vocational skills, and participating in activities that benefit the public. As such, young people have to actively join and contribute to the country’s development in every possible way.
