VARIOUS international-standard displays, including a whale skeleton display, are currently being incorporated into the aquarium under construction inside Kandawgyi Park in Yangon, according to the Yangon Region Government.
Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu inspected the progress of the aquarium’s constr uction inside Kandawgyi Park on 30 September.
The large-scale aquarium will feature displays of wild fish species, freshwater fish species, deep-freshwater fish species, river and marine habitats, diverse ornamental fish, a whale skeleton and digital marine showcase, mangrove biodiversity, coral reefs with colourful ornamental fish, a tropical underwater world, exotic jellyfish, interactive touch pools for aquatic life, an Underwater World display, and retail shops.
Once construction is complete, it will become a high-standard, worldclass aquarium in Yangon.
