THE government is extending an invitation to those involved in various armed groups, including the PDF, to return to the legal fold.
Those who do so are being provided with necessary assistance and support. On 22 September, 23 men from the Local PDF operating terrorist attacks in the Sartaung area of Sagaing, along with their three female family members, and six males and three females from the Sar Taung Moe Kyo group with their three female family members, totalling 29-male and three female PDF members, including their six female family members, rejoined the legal fold with their 13 various arms and ammunition at their nearest bases.
The relevant officials of the military bases of Sagaing warmly welcomed them and provided them with healthcare services. There are still individuals who wish to return to the legal fold. Those who intend to do so are encouraged to promptly contact and report to the nearest Tatmadaw bases or police stations. They will be welcomed and accepted, provided with the necessary assistance and support, and cash rewards for any arms and ammunition.
