AT the invitation of President Mr To Lam of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam and his spouse, a high-level delegation from the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, led by President U Min Aung Hlaing and Spouse Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, visited Viet Nam and laid wreaths to pay tribute at the National Monument to Heroes and Martyrs and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Hanoi yesterday morning.

The high-level delegation, led by the President and his spouse, arrived at the National Monument to Heroes and Martyrs, where they were warmly welcomed by the Director of the Monument Management Board and senior Vietnamese officials. The President, his spouse and delegation members then took their positions at the wreath-laying site.

Subsequently, two members of the Viet Nam People’s Army carried and placed the wreath. As the military band played a tribute to the martyrs, the President and delegation members paid their respects.

After wards, the President and his spouse warmly greeted the Director of the Monument Management Board and senior Vietnamese officials before proceeding to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Upon their arrival, the head of the mausoleum management board and senior Vietnamese officials welcomed the delegation led by the President and his spouse and accompanied them to the mausoleum.

Following this, two members of the Viet Nam People’s Army carried and placed a wreath. As the military band played a tribute to the late President Ho Chi Minh, the President and members of the delegation paid their respects.

The President and his spouse toured the interior of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum before departing. The head of the mausoleum management board and senior Vietnamese officials warmly bade them farewell. — MNA/TH
