Vice-President U Nyo Saw, together with the delegation members, union ministers and deputy ministers, visited the largest thermal power plant in Vladivostok and the Vladivostok Commercial Port at 9:30 am local standard time yesterday.
At Vladivostok’s largest thermal power plant, which is important for the supply of electricity and heat for the city, the Vice-President and party were welcomed by the structural branch director of the “Vladivostok CHP-2” of JSC Far Eastern Generating Company and the deputy minister for Energy and Gas Supply of Primorsky Krai, who explained the operations regarding electricity generation, control, and distribution at the power plant.
At the Vladivostok Commercial Port, the executive director of the Commercial Port of Vladivostok and officials welcomed the Vice-President and the party and clarified freight handling with the use of modern machinery.
On the morning of 3 September, the Vice-President held separate meetings with Mr Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and Mr Vladimir Sitnov, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of PJSC Sberbank of the Russian Federation, at a building on the Far Eastern Federal University campus. During the meetings, they engaged in cordial and open exchanges of views on enhancing Russia-Myanmar bilateral economic cooperation and investment matters. — MNA/TTA
