ACCORDING to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Myanmar Chargé d’Affaires in Canberra U Thet Tun attended the ASEAN Committee in Canberra (ACC) Heads of Mission meeting held on 8 November at the Commonwealth Club.
Mrs Ma Hellen Barber De La Vega, Filipino Ambassador to Australia, chaired the meeting. During the meeting, the minutes from the Heads of Mission Meeting 4/2024 were approved, and the ACC’’s activities for 2024 were reviewed.
Additionally, the attendees discussed ACC activities planned for implementation from January to June 2025. Topics related to the ASEAN-Australia Centre and preparations for the ASEAN Secretary-General Dr Kao Kim Hourn’s upcoming visit to Australia were also addressed.
Following the meeting, the Philippine Ambassador officially handed over the ACC Chairmanship to Mr Anil Kumar Nayar, Singapore’s High Commissioner to Australia.
