TO ensure comfortable travel for the public and students of Dagon University, Myanma Railways will launch extended train services on the Yangon-Toegyaungkalay-Dagon University route starting 1 September.
The service will feature a battery-powered locomotive with six ordinary-class carriages, each capable of accommodating 62 passengers. A total of 12 round trips will be made daily. For students commuting to school, the train will depart from Yangon Railway Station at 6:15 am, arriving at Dagon University Station by 7:30 am.
The return journey will leave Dagon University Station at 3:15 pm and arrive back at Yangon Railway Station at 4:35 pm. The train will stop at all stations along the route, with a ticket price of just K500 for all destinations. There are also plans to offer additional train journeys based on demand.
