MYANMAR’S number of local tourists who visited Bodh Gaya and Thailand has increased, according to the Myanmar Travel Association.
The local tourist arrival has elevated again as of October. Currently, a visible increase has been seen at some famous local destinations, as well as overseas trips to Bodh Gaya and Thailand.
“Pilgrimage tour to Bodh Gaya has been steady, and there are people who are taking vacations in Thailand,” said the Pilgrimages to Bodh Gaya and Thailand increase association’s official.
Among the arrival of foreign tourists to Myanmar, Chinese and Thais are the largest.
“Business visitors are the largest among foreigners visiting Myanmar. It is expected that the number of vacationers will be the same as that of 2023. According to statistics released by the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, the arrival of foreign visitors has developed. There was an increase in the number of foreign visitors arriving early this year. However, there was a slight decline in September and October compared to last year. China and Thailand are the largest among foreign tourists,” he said.
