COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF of Defence Services General Ye Win Oo attended and oversaw the choice of arms ceremony for the 69th Intake of the Defence Services Academy (DSA) and the 29th Intake of the Defence Services Technological Academy (DSTA) in PyinOoLwin yesterday.
The proceedings were also attended by the Commander-in-Chief (Navy), C o m m a n d e r- i n – C h i e f (Air), senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, Commander of the Central Command, commandants of the respective academies and responsible officials. The selection board interviewed cadet individually and evaluated and selected them for appropriate corps and branches of the Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) based on their academic and military training performance, technical competence, discipline, and individual preferences.
Furthermore, the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and senior Tatmadaw officers dined with the cadets at the cadet mess hall of the Anawrahta Battalion of the Defence Services Academy, where they warmly greeted and encouraged the cadets. — MNA/TH
