THE Union of Myanmar Travel Association (UMTA) and Visit Indochina jointly organized a five-day, four-night Da Nang-Hue-Hoi An familiarization trip (famtrip), during which discussions were held on further strengthening Myanmar-Vietnam tourism cooperation, according to UMTA.

The famtrip took place from 15 to 19 August, with 61 tourism entrepreneurs from 58 UMTA member companies participating. A B2B mini-workshop was held during the trip, featuring discussions with representatives from UMTA, Myanmar travel agencies, Visit Indochina, and Vietnam’s relevant tourism authorities and tourism partners.

During the workshop, participants discussed tourism market conditions, the needs of Myanmar tourists, and opportunities for future cooperation between tourism businesses in the two countries.

In addition, UMTA and Visit Indochina said they would continue to cooperate in organizing famtrips, B2B meetings and networking activities to create more business and operational opportunities.

UMTA noted that such collaboration would help further develop the Myanmar-Vietnam tourism sector, increase tourist arrivals and expand tourism-related opportunities between the two countries.
