Myanmar workers in Thailand can now easily transfer money to their families back home using KBZPay through the TrueMoney Wallet. This service allows users to send funds directly from their TrueMoney Wallet in Thailand to KBZPay accounts or KBZ Bank accounts in Myanmar in a secure and cost-effective manner.
Senders can conveniently top up their wallets at over 14,000 7-Eleven stores throughout Thailand. The service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
“The collaboration marks a significant step in strengthening digital financial connectivity between the two countries. KBZ is committed to better serving the daily financial needs of Myanmar nationals, particularly migrant workers and their families, by providing secure and convenient financial services. We believe this is a crucial step towards promoting 100 per cent financial inclusion and enhancing regional payment connectivity,” said KBZ Bank Chief Executive Officer U Zaw Lin Aung.
TrueMoney has also outlined plans to extend similar reliable financial services to other countries with large populations of Myanmar migrants, including Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea, as part of its broader international expansion strategy. — ASH/KK
