The Ayeyawady-Yangtze Traditional Culture Festival will be held at the Mandalay Convention Centre in Mandalay from 1 to 3 November, according to the Mandalay branch of the Myanmar-China Friendship Association (Central).
“The festival will be organized at the national level. It aims to strengthen friendship between Myanmar and China, preserve the traditional cultures of both countries, and promote investment and trade. We invite the people of Mandalay to take part in and enjoy the festival,” said Daw Thin Pyant Kyu, Secretary of the Mandalay branch of the Myanmar-China Friendship Association (Central).
During the three-day festival, there will be B2B matching programmes involving international embassies, companies and businesspeople, panel discussions by economic experts, MoU signing ceremonies, and competitions featuring traditional Myanma Thanaka, pickled tea leaves (Laphet) and Acheik Longyi (silk sarong). Chinese cultural activities, including calligraphy, paper-cutting and quiz competitions, will also be held. — ASH/KNN
