THE Myanmar government has taken significant steps to assist citizens facing challenges abroad, ensuring their safe return to the country. In a demonstration of their commitment, the Myanmar embassy, in coordination with relevant embassies, has facilitated the swift repatriation of citizens encountering difficulties, regardless of their circumstances.

One such case involved a Myanmar citizen, Ma Khin Thet Mar Win, who was experiencing hardships in Baghdad, Iraq. The Myanmar Embassy in Baghdad worked closely with Iraqi governmental bodies, the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and other relevant organizations to arrange her expedited return. Ma Khin Thet Mar Win departed from Iraq on 29 October via a flight route of Baghdad-Sharjah-Bangkok-Yangon and arrived safely in Yangon at 8:35 pm on 30 October.

The Myanmar embassy continues to assist citizens facing challenges in Middle-East countries, facilitating their return home. The government expresses its dedication to supporting Myanmar nationals abroad experiencing difficulties, coordinating efforts through the embassy and consulate to ensure safe repatriation. Families and workers who have benefited from these efforts have expressed their deep gratitude to the government, the Myanmar embassy, and the consulate for their timely support during these challenging times.
