Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Than Swe received Mr Heuangseng Khamdalavong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao PDR to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, who is leaving Myanmar after completion of his tour of duty in Myanmar, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
During the farewell call, they reviewed the development of the existing traditional friendly relations. They candidly discussed matters on a wide range of issues pertaining to the potential for further strengthening the mutually beneficial cooperation, especially in the areas of trade and investment, tourism and people-to-people contacts between the two countries, as well as closer collaboration in both regional and multilateral arenas.
