The Plenary Session of the 29th Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum took place at the Expoforum Convention and Exhibition Centre in Saint Petersburg yesterday afternoon local standard time, attended by the delegation led by Vice-President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Nyo Saw.
Also present at the forum were President of the Russian Federation Mr Vladimir Putin, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mr Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the United Republic of Tanzania Mr Samia Suluhu Hassan, Vice-President of the People’s Republic of China Mr Han Zeng, State leaders, officials and businesspeople.
Russian President Mr Vladimir Putin delivered an address and led the discussions at the forum.
In the mor ning, Vice-President U Nyo Saw received a delegation led by Russia-ASEAN Business Council Chair Mr Ivan Viktorovich Polyakov and exchanged views on the strengthening of relations between Myanmar and the Council and the multi-sectoral cooperation, including the trade and investment sectors.
At the ceremony to sign the memorandum of understanding on the Dawei Deep Sea Port Power Station, officials from Inter RAO Company of the Russian Federation and Launglon Economic Development Company Limited of Myanmar in the presence of the Vice-President and the Russian Minister of Economic Development.
On 5 June, officials of the Ministry of National Planning, Investment and Foreign Economic Relations and the Ministry of Commerce of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Fund RC-Investments of the Russian Federation signed the memorandum of cooperation (MoC).
