The director-general of the Petroleum Products Supervision and Inspection Department inspected the arrival and unloading of fuel tankers at the Thilawa Terminal in Yangon yesterday. He also inspected fuel tanker conditions, including whether the tonnage of imported fuel matches the permitted quantity and the amount loaded on the tankers, as well as taking fuel samples to verify quality consistency. In addition, he reviewed fuel storage conditions at the terminal and the status of tankers used for distribution.

HE proceeded to the Htut Khaung checkpoint, where relevant departments jointly inspect fuel tankers departing from Thilawa to ensure compliance with requirements, and observed the inspection process.

According to reports, fuel stored in the country currently stands at 40 days’ supply for petrol and 54 days’ supply for diesel. At present, three fuel tankers are unloading at Thilawa, one is en route, one is loading fuel at an international port, and five are waiting to be loaded, making a total of 10 tankers.

As fuel tankers continue to arrive regularly as scheduled, the Ministry of Electricity and Energy is making continuous arrangements to ensure a stable fuel supply and adequate storage levels.
