THE Myanmar Rowing Team won two gold medals and one silver at the Dragon Boat World Cup trial event, hosted by the International Canoe Federation (ICF), as a qualifier for the 2025 World Games in Chengdu.
In the men’s 8-oar 200-metre race, Myanmar took the gold, while China and Russia won silver and bronze, respectively.
Myanmar also secured gold in the mixed 8-oar 500-metre event, with China winning silver and Russia taking bronze. In the mixed 2,000-metre race, China won gold, with Myanmar achieving silver and Russia claiming bronze. Myanmar’s rowing team has earned a total of three golds and one silver so far. The team will continue competing on 27 October.
