Officials from the Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, Pyay District, Bago Region, conducted a field inspection yesterday morning in Shartine Village, Shwedaung Township, to review the implementation of family income-generating activities supported by the Green Village Project revolving fund.
During the inspection, Pyay District Head of the Department of Rural Development Daw Khine Shwe Wah, Township Head U Aung Khine Zaw, and technical officials observed agricultural, livestock, trading, and small-scale livelihood activities being carried out with project revolving funds in the village.
Following the inspection, the district head met members of the Green Village Project committee and reviewed the accuracy and completeness of monthly financial reports. Officials also encouraged villagers to further expand small-scale family businesses and systematically manage project funds to prevent losses and ensure long-term sustainability.
According to officials, a total of K30 million in low-interest revolving funds has been provided to 101 project members in Shartine Village. Beneficiaries are successfully operating agriculture, livestock breeding, trading, and livelihood businesses that contribute to increased household incomes and improved rural livelihoods.
