The Dekkhinathiri Township Rural Development Department, under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, organized a ceremony to disburse the Mya Sein Yaung revolving project funds at Gwaytaukyoe Village in Dekkhinathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw, yesterday.
The initiative aims to enable rural residents to expand their family income-generating activities and implement village development tasks using the accumulated project funds. Deputy Director U Zaw Moe of the Nay Pyi Taw Rural Development Department explained the objectives of the fund disbursement.
Subsequently, Daw Lei Lei Wah, Head of the Dekkhinathiri Township Rural Development Department, and project-in-charge officers clarified the project guidelines, interest rates, loan repayment periods, and regulations.
Afterwards, Deputy Director U Zaw Moe handed over the revolving funds to the village administrator and the chairman of the village project committee. Following the handover, the committee members systematically distributed low-interest loans totalling K29.4 million directly to 63 project members engaged in agriculture, livestock breeding, and trading businesses on the same day.
