A tender opening ceremony for rural productive roads, bridges, and water supply projects to be implemented in Kayah State during the 2026-2027 financial year was held at the Kayah State Rural Development Department office yesterday.
During the event, U Ye Win, Minister for Electricity, Energy, Industry and Transport and Chairman of the Kayah State Government Tender Committee, delivered the opening address. Subsequently, U Myint, Head of the Kayah State Rural Development Department, explained the criteria and procedures for tender submission, scrutiny, and selection. Following the briefing, the company profiles and technical proposals submitted by participating entrepreneurs were opened and reviewed in the presence of the tender committee members.
Under the allocated Kayah State budget of K1,000 million for the 2026-2027 FY, the projects encompass five rural production roads, 12 rural production bridges, and 13 rural drinking water supply tasks across various townships. Contracts will be officially signed with the winning companies to execute these infrastructure developments within the current financial year.
