To help students and youth develop their knowledge and skills during the summer holidays, and to cultivate a new generation of maritime and aviation professionals for the country, Tatmadaw (Navy) and Tatmadaw (Air) are currently conducting basic and advanced youth training courses in relevant townships starting from 27 April.
Yesterday, 95 trainees from Nay Pyi Taw Council Area’s Training Branch received instruction in naval knowledge, driving, and swimming, whereas 100 trainees from Yangon camp, 35 from Cocokyun camp, 120 from Kayin State, 60 from Shan State, 115 trainees from Ayeyawady Region, 60 from Mon State, 140 from Taninthayi Region and 75 from Mandalay Region were also undergoing practical training conducted by instructors from each area.
Similarly, under the supervision of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Air), Tatmadaw (Air) is conducting basic aviation youth course 10 and advanced aviation youth course 9 at 20 training camps with a total of 1,044 trainees. These included 63 trainees at the Southern Myanmar Camp in Hmawby, 50 in Yangon, 50 in Namhsan, 60 in Taunggyi, 60 in Toungoo, 50 in Monywa, 53 in Pathein, 50 in Meiktila, 65 in Nay Pyi Taw and 50 in Kengtung. Trainees are learning subjects such as basic military training, aviation history, principles of flight, aviation-related general knowledge, airfield procedures, the history of the independence struggle, patriotism, remote control aircraft and helicopter piloting and simulator operation by qualified instructors.
