A ceremony to honour and welcome back Tatmadaw soldiers who had returned from the frontline after carrying out duties for regional security and stability in and around Tamu Township, Sagaing Region, was held yesterday evening at a local battalion in Kalay, Sagaing Region.

The event was attended by officials from the Kalay Station, officers, soldiers and their family members, members of the Myanmar Police Force, members of the Myanmar War Veterans Organization, departmental officials, and local ethnic residents.

The returning soldiers had diligently carried out military operations on the front lines, day and night, in order to ensure that ethnic communities across various regions and states could live and work in peace, with the security of their lives and property safeguarded, as well as to maintain national stability and regional peace.

Those in attendance warmly welcomed and honoured the returning troops with sprigs of Eugenia, accompanied by traditional music and dance. — MNA/MKKS
