Myanmar Airways International (MAI) has announced that it will reinstate original baggage allowances for international flights starting 26 March 2026 (today) and resume all domestic flight operations as per the regular schedule.

According to an announcement on 25 March, passengers on international flights can once again enjoy baggage allowances of up to 30 kilogrammes for Economy Class and 40 kilogrammes for Business Class, effective 26 March. Furthermore, Sky Smile (Ruby & Diamond) members will have their additional baggage privileges restored to their original levels.

Additionally, MAI informed that all domestic flights, which were previously suspended due to operational conditions, will return to their regular flight schedules.
For passengers who experienced a loss in baggage weight capacity between 22 and 25 March, MAI will issue a Travel Voucher equivalent to the value of 10kg of baggage allowance. These Travel Vouchers will be valid until 30 June 2026, and are non-transferable and non-refundable.
