# Iran accused the United States and Israel of striking a maritime ambulance boat at an island in the Strait of Hormuz, Mehr news agency reported. Several ships have been reported hit in the strategic waterway in recent days.

# Germany’s energy minister said it would release part of its oil reserve after the International Energy Agency (IEA) asked members to release 400 million barrels to counter soaring oil prices. Japan’s prime minister said the country would start to release its reserves on Monday.
