BRAZILIAN aircraft manufacturer Embraer said Friday it had achieved its highest ever revenues in 2025, but US tariffs cut deeply into its profits.

The world’s third-largest aircraft manufacturer after Airbus and Boeing posted revenue of $7.6 billion last year, exceeding its most optimistic forecasts.

However, the company paid $80 million in tariffs to the United States, a major client for commercial and executive aircraft, and net profit fell 45 per cent compared to 2024.

The company delivered 244 aircraft during the year, an increase of 18 per cent from the previous year.

Growth was driven by the defense and security sector, as well as business aviation. Embraer President Francisco Gomes Neto told journalists at a press conference that 2025 had “clearly marked the consolidation of our strategy across all our businesses.”
