The Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar has agreed to the proposed appointment of Mr Segundo Martin Calero Escorcia as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Nicaragua to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
Mr Segundo Martin Calero Escorcia was born on 26 February 1987 in Masaya, Nicaragua. He obtained a degree in Electronic Engineering from the National University of Engineering in 2010, and earned a Postgraduate degree in Information and Communication Technology Management and Applications in 2012. He served as a Project and Development Officer at the Nicaraguan Telecommunications and Postal Services Company (TELCOR) from 2009 to 2015. He worked at the Ministry of Education as a Policy Analysis Officer from 2021 to 2024. Since July 2025, he has been serving as the Charge d’Affaires at the Embassy of Nicaragua in Zimbabwe.
