According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, the Myanmar Art Centre (Yangon) will be transformed into an international stage.
Myanmar Art Centre (Yangon) is being constructed with an aim to be an international stage for performing arts such as film, music, and theatrical performances as well as a hub for artistic exhibitions, forums and entertainment, the ministry stated.
The facility will be built to meet international standards and to be earthquake-resistant at a magnitude of 8.3.
Recently, the foundations of the main building and iron poles have been installed, while phase 1, electric wiring and water piping, has been completed.
After the completion, the art centre will become the venue for international cultural events, dances and concerts, performances of plays and musicals, gallery exhibitions, workshops and art talks.
