MYANMAR Edible Oil Millers price remains unchanged Association stated that domestic oil mills will inaugurate the Thadingyut market fair on Min Ye Kyaw Swar Street, Lanmadaw Township and Yannshin Street, Yankin Township, Yangon, from 1 to 3 October 2025.
The Oil Mills Development Loan Management Task Force has been offering K50 billion loans allocated from the State Economic Promotion Fund to oil millers.
A workshop on setting up the MSME Fund, loan application status and disbursement process for rice mills and oil mills was held on 17 September at the meeting hall of Dekkhinathiri Industrial Zone Management Office. Deputy Minister Daw Than Than Lin for Finance and Revenue, Nay Pyi Taw Council members, MSME Fund Management Task Force’s Secretary, Financial Regulatory Department’s director-general, MSME Loan Task Force chairman, the Managing Director of the Myanma Economic Bank, MSMEs and officials were present at the workshop.
The deputy minister remarked that the State set up a K170 billion fund to enhance MSMEs, in which K20 billion is designated for the development of MSMEs and K150 billion for loan disbursement. Rules and regulations regarding MSME loans have been announced. MSMEs are entitled to seek loans through Myanma Economic Bank, Myanma Agricultural Development Fund and 16 private banks.
The task force was formed to reduce edible oil imports, achieve self-sufficiency, expand, upgrade, and develop necessary equipment and new mills. The State Economic Promotion Fund allocated K50 billion loans for oil mill development. Oil millers who meet loan standards are receiving loans for now, she added. Afterwards, Nay Pyi Taw Council members asked MSMEs to comprehend MSMEs’ loan procedures, comply with banking rules and inspections, and apply for loans in line with loan eligibility criteria. The MSME Fund Management Task Force’s Secretary presented the MSME fund establishment, loan procedure and loan disbursement process. The MSME Loan Task Force’s chairman also explained the screening process for MSME loan applications and loan disbursement activities. Authorities concerned also responded to questions raised by the MSME oil millers and rice millers.
