Myanmar is a country with favourable natural conditions for carrying out agricultural and livestock breeding activities. Therefore, since ancient times, the country has engaged in traditional economic activities based on agriculture and livestock breeding, as well as the extraction and utilization of natural resources from above and below the ground and from above and below the water.

It is essential to move beyond traditional methods of agricultural and livestock farming and apply modern technologies that are continuously evolving. Only by conducting research, studying and analyzing relevant information, and making necessary adjustments in farming practices can greater benefits be achieved for the country’s economic development and improvements in the socioeconomic well-being of the people. In addition, not only private entrepreneurs who drive economic activities but also civil servants working in state-owned enterprises need to perform their duties diligently and ensure that opportunities are created for them to work to their full potential.

In addition, responsible officials need to ensure that the necessary inputs for carrying out business activities are provided. If every citizen genuinely engages in productive work, a variety of products will be produced, thereby reducing imports and increasing exports. This, in turn, will make a significant contribution to economic growth and development.

n the country, in addition to businesses based on agriculture and livestock farming and those engaged in the extraction and use of natural resources, garment manufacturing under the Cut-Make-Pack (CMP) system, which relies on foreign investment, is also being carried out. CMP businesses can serve as a source of foreign exchange earnings. Hence, the relevant ministries and regional governments need to provide the necessary support to ensure smooth operations of CMP businesses.

t is necessary to identify and examine the economic difficulties encountered in the past in connection with national economic development, draw lessons from them, and seek solutions through careful analysis. To increase the production of value-added goods from manufacturing industries based on agriculture and livestock farming, the country’s main economic sectors, boost exports, and expand markets for domestic products, the government, agricultural and livestock producers, and business entrepreneurs must work together in a coordinated manner through concerted efforts to reduce high commodity prices.

The State is also providing the necessary investment and working capital loans to promote the development of manufacturing industries based on agriculture and livestock farming. Increasing agricultural and livestock production will ensure adequate domestic consumption. Therefore, systematic measures must be taken to secure markets and ensure that products are produced and exported in sufficient quantities to meet market demand.
