THE 61st Myanma Gems Emporium 2026 continued for the fifth day yesterday morning at the Maniradana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw, drawing a large crowd of local and foreign gem traders.
From morning onwards, traders examined the jade lots displayed inside the hall and in designated outdoor areas. Officials evaluated the price submission forms for 160 gem lots yesterday and later announced that 70 lots had been sold successfully. Yesterday afternoon, Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Hsan Oo inspected the jade displays and observed traders submitting their bids in tender boxes before providing necessary instructions to officials.
On the sixth day of the exhibition, jade lots 1 to 550 from Groups (A) and (B) will be sold through an open tender system. The winning bids for these lots will be announced on 13 October. A total of 3,073 jade lots are displayed at the emporium. To support MSME entrepreneurs, the lots have been divided into three categories—Groups A, B, and C, based on jade quality and current domestic and international market conditions.
From 13 to 15 October, 1,605 jade lots from Groups A and B will be sold, whilst 1,468 lots from Group C will be sold from 16 to 17 October. All sales to domestic and foreign traders will continue to be conducted via the open tender system.
The 61st Myanma Gems Emporium 2026, which aims to generate economic benefits for the State and its citizens while systematically and sustainably managing the country’s gemstone resources, will run until 17 October at the Maniradana Jade Hall.
