The 61st Myanma Gems Emporium continued its fourth day yesterday at the Maniyadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw, drawing local and foreign traders to inspect and bid on displays of pearls, gems, and jade.
Officials announced that 228 pearl lots were sold via open tender on the fourth day from two tender batches (lots 461 through 700). Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Hsan Oo inspected the display grounds in the afternoon, observing traders examining jade lots and directing officials to provide necessary assistance.
Bidding also closed at 3 pm for 160 gem lots scheduled for fifth-day sales, with successful bids to be announced on the morning of 12 October.
Over the coming days, the emporium will sell 3,073 jade lots categorized into three groups. Groups A and B (1,605 jade lots) will be tendered from 13 to 15 October, while Group C (1,468 jade lots) will be tendered from 16 to 17 October. Alongside open tender biddings, private jewellry sales within the hall continue to attract strong buyer interest. The emporium runs through 17 October. — MNA/ST
