VIETNAM attracted US$50.36 billion in total registered foreign investment in the first nine months of 2026, surging 76.4 per cent year on year, the Vietnam News Agency reported Tuesday, citing the National Statistics Office.

During the period, 3,108 newly licensed projects registered $29.24 billion in capital, 2.4 times the amount recorded in the same period last year, according to the report.

Manufacturing and processing took the largest share of newly registered capital, at $13.38 billion, or 45.8 per cent, followed by transport and storage with $5.14 billion. — Xinhua
