AS breaches of information security can result in significant harm and losses, all security measures must be handled with utmost seriousness and carefully safeguarded, said Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) General Kyaw Swa Lin at the meeting with senior Tatmadaw officers from departments and offices at the compound of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) yesterday afternoon.
He noted that those senior Tatmadaw officers must be fully qualified and must systematically build and strengthen the units under their command. He urged them to remain loyal to the State and Tatmadaw with steadfast and proper conviction.
The General stressed that although senior Tatmadaw officers may not personally be involved in online gambling activities, they must supervise and instruct all Tatmadaw members and their family members under their command to ensure that they do not become involved in such activities.
He underlined that as breaches of information security can result in significant harm and losses, all security-related matters must be handled with utmost seriousness and carefully safeguarded.
The General highlighted that the country needs to restore peace and stability to promote national interests. To ensure peace and stability, it is necessary to strengthen the country’s defence capabilities. Therefore, all must work together to enhance the capabilities of individual Tatmadaw member so as to build a strong and capable Tatmadaw.
