AUTHORITIES arrested 50 people including nine Chinese men, one Chinese woman, 26 Myanmar men and 14 Myanmar women involved in online scam and gambling activities in Namhsan township, Shan State (South), yesterday.
Acting on a tip-off from residents, the officials searched about 1,500 metres from the northeast of Gonyaung village in Namhsan township, and also seized 20 Starlink sets, 25 laptops, 20 all-in-one computers, 217 mobile phones, nine system units, two printers, a refrigerator, a freezer, 50 chairs, a large generator, 15 tables and four fans, along with several buildings used as a workshop, workers’ quarters, residential buildings and a kitchen.
