THE Department of Rural Development, under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, conducted a field inspection yesterday to review the progress of household income-generating activities financed through the revolving fund of the Village Revolving Fund Project (VRFP) in Nyaungpaw Village in PyinOoLwin Township.

PyinOoLwin District Department of Rural Development Head U Set Naing Tun and officials visited the village to inspect the progress of farming and livelihood activities being carried out with loans from the project’s revolving fund. He also met members of the village VRFP committee to examine whether the monthly financial records had been properly completed and urged committee members to expand small-scale family income-generating activities to increase family incomes.

A total of 52 project members engaged in farming and livelihood activities in Nyaungpaw Village have been provided with K52.3 million in VRFP loans, which are being regularly utilized for project activities. — Karan (Rural)
