COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF of Defence Services General Ye Win Oo met Thai Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Tor Saralamba and his delegation in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday evening.
The two sides discussed strengthening diplomatic ties and military cooperation, as well as maintaining peace and stability along the Myanmar-Thai border.
They also exchanged views on enforcing the rule of law, combatting terrorism, tackling online scams and illegal gambling, and preventing the illicit trafficking of arms, ammunition, narcotics and controlled chemicals.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of gifts between General Ye Win Oo and the Thai ambassador. — MNA/ST
