RUSSIA posted year-onyear growth in both liquefied natural gas (LNG) and total gas production in January-July 2026, according to national statistics agency Rosstat on Wednesday.
The country’s LNG output rose 12 per cent to 20.6 million tonnes in the first seven months of the year.
The strong performance follows a downturn in 2025, when Russia’s full-year LNG output fell 3.6 per cent to 32.9 million tonnes.
Meanwhile, Russia’s combined production of natural gas and associated petroleum gas increased by 3.7 per cent year-on-year to 397 billion cubic metres in January-July 2026. — Xinhua
