DEPUTY Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Thant Zaw Lwin received a delegation led by Mr Arshad Mehmood Malik, Regional Director for Asia at Save the Children International (SCI), at the Ministry’s meeting room yesterday afternoon.
They discussed cooperation between SCI and the Ministry on Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) activities, SCI’s provision of technical assistance for ECCD activities, and the ongoing process of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Department of Social Welfare and SCI.
The meeting was attended by SCI Myanmar Country Representative Mrs Wang Le and representatives, as well as the director-general, deputy permanent secretary and relevant officials from the Department of Social Welfare.
