ACCORDING to the observations at 6:30 pm MST today, due to the strong monsoon over the Andaman Sea and the Bay of Bengal, the remnants of cloud the tropical storm “Narra” over the Gulf of Tonkin and over the North Coastal Odisha and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal and the Northwest Bay of Bengal such as rain or thundershowers are likely to be fairly widespread to widespread in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyawady and Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine and Shan States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyawady and Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine and Shan States from thismorning to 28 August 2026.
Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along the Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 miles per hour. Wave height will be about 11-13 feet off and along the Myanmar Coasts.
