POLICE personnel from township police stations in various districts across Yangon Region are working with traffic police and relevant administrative authorities to reduce crime and prevent criminal activities, according to reports.
Yesterday, Police Major Tin Ko Ko from the Botahtaung Township Police Force and party conducted crime prevention awareness activities in Ward 5. Officiating Police Major Kyaw Hein from the Insein Township Police Force and his personnel also conducted door-todoor crime prevention awareness activities in Gyogon (West) Ward. Meanwhile, personnel from the Kyauktada Township Traffic Police Unit conducted awareness activities at the pedestrian overpass at Sule traffic lights, encouraging members of the public to use pedestrian crossings.
On the night of 16 August, police members led by Police Captain Aung San Lin from the Myoma Police Station in Mingala Taungnyunt Township conducted patrols and checked guest registration records. — Aung Thu/MKKS
