TO commemorate the opening of the Wazira Red-Carpet Theatre, the classic silent film Mya Ga Naing was screened at 1.30 pm yesterday at the theatre on Bogyoke Aung San Road in Yangon, attracting a large audience of film enthusiasts.
Mya Ga Naing is a black-and-white silent film first produced in 1934 by A1 Tin Maung. It starred Chit Shwe and Myint Myint, with supporting performances by U Htwar, U Bo Thaung, Bo Saw Gyi, Phu, Sai Tin, Tha Gaung, Gyan Sein and other members of the A1 film troupe.
