CHINESE Premier Li Qiang held talks with Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand Anutin Charnvirakul in Beijing on Monday. Noting China and Thailand are close neighbours with a long history of friendly exchanges, Li said that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, the building of China-Thailand community with a shared future is constantly deepening and solidifying, opening up broader prospects for bilateral cooperation.
Li said China is willing to further carry forward traditional friendship with Thailand, consolidate political mutual trust, strengthen mutual support, promote mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields to a higher level, and continuously enhance the well-being of the two peoples.
China stands ready to strengthen the synergy of development strategies with Thailand, pursue high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, maintain sound growth momentum of bilateral trade, expand cooperation in emerging fields, and work together to promote common prosperity, Li added. He expressed the hope that Thailand will provide a sound business environment for Chinese enterprises, adding that the two sides should further strengthen cooperation in law enforcement and security.
Anutin, who is on his first official visit to China, said that the two heads of states’ meeting last year has injected new impetus into bilateral relations, adding that Thailand is willing to maintain close high-level exchanges with China, make good use of dialogue mechanisms, promote cooperation in a variety of fields, and strive for more practical achievements in bilateral partnership.
