The MSME Development Fund will provide loans to develop the cotton industry, and loan proposals can be submitted to the MSME agencies in Nay Pyi Taw, regions and states, according to an announcement by the Department of Industrial Supervision and Inspection under the Ministry of Industry and MSME Development.
Those who want to establish and expand cottonseed oil extraction machines and yarn-making machines can seek loans. During the State Economic Promotion Fund Management Committee Coordination Meeting 1/2026-2027 held on 14 July, Union Minister U Myo Zaw Thein for Cooperatives and Rural Development discussed the implementation of monsoon paddy, summer paddy, winter crops, and cotton cultivation. Union Minister Dr Charlie Than for Industry and MSME Development also discussed the disbursement of MSME development loans and oil mill development loans to regions and states. The State Economic Promotion Fund Management Committee, in collaboration with regional and state governments and self-administered region and zone administrative bodies, is systematically supervising the effective and beneficial utilization of state-provided funds.
