The Ministry of Hotels, Tourism and Culture will hold a colour photo contest themed Tourism and Culture with an aim to promoting Myanmar’s scenic destinations, cultural heritage sites, tradition and customs of ethnic groups, and traditional cultural festivals to international tourists,
The contest will help position Myanmar as an attractive destination on the global tourism map and boost global visibility, contributing to the sustainable long-term development of Myanmar’s tourism industry.
Winning photographs from the contest will be displayed at the World Tourism Day 2026 commemoration ceremony to be held in Nay Pyi Taw on 27 September. The contest prizes – first prize (K1 million), second prize (K800,000), third prize (K600,000), fourth prize (K400,000), fifth prize (K300,000) and 20 consolation prizes (K200,000 each) will be awarded.
Entries must be submitted to the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism in Yangon Region, located at 58/60, corner of Strand Road and Bo Aung kyaw Road, Botahtaung Township, Yangon Region at 3:30 pm on 14 August.
