The China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) plays an important role in strengthening global supply chains as resilient and efficient supply chains are critical to economic growth in an increasingly complex global environment, a senior official of the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) has said.
Platforms like CISCE bring together governments, businesses and industry leaders to exchange ideas, share solutions and build practical partnerships that enhance supply chain stability, said Dominic Trindade, Austrade’s general manager for the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan province of China, in a recent written interview with Xinhua.
“Importantly, CISCE focuses on real-world collaboration, connecting companies across the value chain and enabling cooperation on areas such as clean energy, infrastructure and advanced services,” said Trindade, who is also commercial minister at the Australian Embassy in Beijing.
“This kind of engagement is essential to improving transparency, diversification and resilience in global supply networks,” he added. Australia has accepted the invitation to be the Guest Country of Honor at the fourth CISCE, which will take place in Beijing from 22 to 26 June. While individual Australian companies have participated in previous years, 2026 marks Australia’s first official national-level participation.
Trindade noted that Australia’s role as Guest Country of Honor reflects its commitment to working with partners to build more resilient, sustainable and efficient supply chains, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region.
