BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and the Bay of Bengal. The weather is partly cloudy over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON ON 7 June 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Sagaing Region and Chin State, fairly widespread in Mandalay and Magway regions and Kachin and northern Shan states and widespread in the remaining regions and states, with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Kayin and Mon states and isolated heavy falls in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Ayeyawady and Taninthayi regions and Kayah and southern Shan states. The degree of certainty is 100 percent.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUDS: The cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Nay Pyi Taw,Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyawady and Taninthayi regions and Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine and Shan states. In the area along the movement of cumulonimbus clouds, weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied by rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur, and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance of these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along the Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 miles per hour. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along the Myanmar Coasts.
