DEPOSITS paid under contracts with authorized lottery ticket sellers for the 2025-2026 financial year will get refunded, the Aung Bar Lay Lottery Division of the Internal Revenue Department under the Ministry of Finance and Revenue announced on 29 May.
Lottery ticket sellers entered into agreements and paid a deposit of K200 per pack every three months, based on the number of volumes they were authorized to sell.
As those contracts are only valid for the 2025-2026 FY, the deposits will now be refunded.
Lottery ticket sellers must submit the original or a copy of the payment slip for the deposit, a copy of the contract, registration documents, and the original or a copy of the household list. They must also file a claim affixed with a K300 revenue stamp in person.
Claims can be submitted from 1 to 30 June, at the Accounts Section of the Aung Bar Lay Lottery Division. — NN/KK
