The implementation of condominium projects is underway in Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw for public housing, and these projects are creating job opportunities, according to the Real Estate and Car Expo held at the Yangon Convention Centre yesterday.
“The condominium projects being carried out in Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw are large-scale projects. The developers are experienced and well-known in the construction sector. The buildings being constructed in Yangon are located in convenient transport areas and are attractive places to live, while the condominiums in Nay Pyi Taw are being built in peaceful and accessible locations, and Mandalay as well. Such construction projects create job opportunities for locals. Yoma Land Construction provided jobs for about 2,000 workers and nearly 400 staff.
The condominium construction periods can take up to three years. These projects not only provide jobs for those seeking employment but also offer clean, pleasant and conveniently located residential units where families can live peacefully and happily,” said Daw Yi Wyne Oo, managing director of Wyne Estate Co Ltd. The government implements low-cost and affordable housing, and the private construction sectors are also implementing housing and condominium projects.
Through balanced cooperation among departments, landowners and contractors in the development of housing and condominium apartments, beneficial residential projects for the public are expected to emerge.
When the government allocates apartments to the public, the contractors also want the government to create an opportunity to purchase from the contractors. With proper cooperation among all stakeholders in the construction of housing and condominiums, the public will not only be able to purchase homes and live peacefully, but such projects will also create employment opportunities within the region.
