Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Than Soe inspected rehabilitation and reconstruction work in Tiddim and provided donations, construction materials and relief supplies for affected residents.
The deputy minister, who chairs the rehabilitation and reconstruction committee in Chin State, attended a donation ceremony at the Tiddim Township General Administration Department office together with officials and committee members.
Authorities gave iron sheets, nail, cement and relief assistance for 85 households, including two-week food supplies and cash assistance worth more than K21 million.
Officials also inspected damaged government buildings and homes in Tiddim, ongoing rehabilitation work jointly carried out by the government, Tatmadaw and locals, and visited patients receiving treatment at the town’s 100-bed hospital District. — IPRD/KZL
