THE Department of Rural Development in Mongyai Township Shan State (North), under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, held a graduation ceremony yesterday morning for a vocational carpentry training course in Narkho Village. The training was conducted with the aim of creating job opportunities for rural residents and producing skilled workers.

An official of the Mongyai Township Department of Rural Development, encouraged trainees to practically apply the carpentry skills and techniques learned during the training in their villages and communities, and to establish small-scale businesses in order to increase family incomes.

Afterwards, departmental officials and training instructors presented graduation certificates and outstanding awards to the trainees who achieved excellent performance in both theoretical and practical training during the course.

A total of 20 trainees from Narkho Village attended the vocational carpentry training course. Experienced trainers systematically provided free theoretical and practical training related to carpentry to them for 15 days.
